Bobcat

3/20/20 -

Alex Lunding of West Simsbury sent in this week’s photo and writes, “While gazing out the window and enjoying her breakfast, my 5-year-blurted out: Bobcat in the backyard. She knows her CT wildlife. I grabbed the long lens camera and caught this handsome pose.”Jay Kaplan, director at Roaring Brook Nature Center, adds, “Bobcats are not strictly nocturnal and, at this season, the males may still be wandering about looking for potential mates. Thus, they may be easier to see at this time of the year. Breeding season can continue into May.
