Local company using Halloween spirit to raise money for a worthy cause

Participants can win up to $1,500

COLLINSVILLE – Connecticut based company RemedyOne is committed to making a difference in the lives of seriously or chronically ill children this Halloween season. The second annual ScholarScripts Spooktacular Halloween Costume contest is a simple, fun way that the community can get involved. ScholarScripts, RemedyOne’s charitable foundation, is striving to raise the much-needed funds for their charitable partner, Team IMPACT, a not-for-profit organization that tackles the emotional trauma and social isolation experienced by children facing serious and chronic illnesses by matching them with a college athletic team.

“The vision of the Spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest is not only a unique way to fundraise for Team IMPACT and their amazing children, it’s also a way to give back to the community,” says Mike Waterbury, RemedyOne’s Executive Chairman. “This contest allows every participant an avenue to win a cash prize for themselves while generating donations for such a worthy cause.”

The Spooktacular Costume Contest is simple, participants take a photo of themselves or their furry friends wearing a Halloween costume, submit the photo in either one of the six given categories (Babies/Children, Tweens & Teens, College Students, Adults, Furry Friends and Team IMPACT) contest.scholarscripts.org then share to their social networks and get their friends and family to vote for their picture. The participant with the most votes in each of the six separate categories wins $500 in cash. The overall winner with the most votes wins an additional $1,000. This year, we added mail-in-donations to help generate excitement for all those who are not virtually connected. All votes/donations can be mailed into ScholarScripts, Inc., 10 Front Street, Collinsville, CT 06019. Remember to place the picture name and state in the memo line.

Each vote is $1 – with no limit on how many times someone can vote.

“This effort comes at a critical time for us as an organization. While Halloween may look different this year, it doesn’t mean we should lose the spirit and joy that it brings to our children, families, and college teams. We are grateful to partner with ScholarScripts on their annual Halloween Costume Contest, and excited to bring our community together virtually, when we need each other most,” says Seth Rosenzweig, Team IMPACT CEO.

The campaign goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000 but anything is possible if you dream big with a positive attitude. The Spooktacular Halloween Costume Campaign begins October 1, 2020 and ends November 4, 2019.
